Visual patterns help you observe gradients, tones, contrast and sharpness before manual adjustments. They are rendered by the browser and are not instrument measurements.

How to use
- Open Visual Check fullscreen.
- Review patterns without changing several monitor controls at once.
- Record observations and compare again under the same lighting.
When to use
- Initial inspection of a new monitor.
- Visual comparison before and after a manual adjustment.
Limitations
Scaling, zoom, color profile, composition, brightness and room lighting affect results. Use a colorimeter and suitable software when color fidelity is required.
Questions
- What is color banding?
- It is the perception of bands in a transition that should look continuous. Browser, content, signal and panel can all contribute.
- Does this test calibrate my monitor?
- No. It provides visual references; it does not measure the panel or create an ICC profile.
