Technical Methodology & Display Science
An initial triage can record suspicious pixels, geometric distortion, uneven regions and repeatable artifacts. The pattern alone cannot establish the underlying cause.
Grids and uniform fields make visual comparison between center, edges and corners easier. Quantifying luminance or color deviation requires a meter and controlled conditions.
A mismatch between limited and full RGB range can elevate blacks or clip detail, but confirmation belongs in the video-chain settings.
