Focus Timer

By MonitorSmith editorial team · EXVORN.TECH Editorial process

Focus timer with configurable intervals and digital approximations of brown, pink and white noise generated on the device through the Web Audio API.

Interface and local controls remain in Portuguese.

How to use

  1. Choose an interval, an optional noise profile and a low volume.
  2. Start the timer and use the immersive view if it helps your routine.
  3. When the alert sounds, take the break you planned or start another cycle.

When to use

Limitations

This is a time-organisation and optional sound tool. The profiles are digital approximations, and their effect varies by person and environment. Audio is generated on the device without sending an audio stream to a server.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Brownian noise (red noise)?
It is noise with more relative energy at lower frequencies. Some people prefer it for masking sounds; others work better in silence.
Does audio generation consume network bandwidth?
No. Audio waveforms are synthesized algorithmically in real time via the browser’s Web Audio API.

Technical Methodology & Display Science

Audio synthesis generates pseudorandom samples in the browser. The white profile adds no spectral filtering; pink and brown use digital approximations that place more relative energy at lower frequencies.

Intervals provide an organisational structure. The tool does not prevent fatigue or burnout and does not replace breaks, ergonomics or health advice.

The tool timer loops and audio synthesizers run locally in the browser, without an audio stream from a server.
