Screen Light for Video Calls
A bright screen can work as nearby fill light when dedicated lighting is unavailable. The temperature control is a visual color approximation, not a measurement of emitted light.

How to use
- Place the window near the webcam or use a second monitor.
- Start at low intensity and adjust the tint to the room.
- Avoid reflections on glasses and reduce brightness if uncomfortable.
When to use
- Video calls with limited frontal lighting.
- Nearby fill light for small objects and recordings.
Limitations
Intensity, effective temperature and quality depend on panel, physical brightness, profile and room. It does not replace dedicated lighting.

- Does it replace a ring light?
- It can provide nearby fill, but has less reach and control than a dedicated source.
- Is the displayed temperature exact?
- No. It is an sRGB color approximation influenced by the monitor and environment.
